Ruzafa
About the project
Apartment located in a stately building from 1917 in Ruzafa. The main issue with this apartment
was that it had not aged well, and previous renovations had stripped away much of its identity.
Additionally, a central hall organized the rooms on both sides, resulting in a very
compartmentalized layout with rooms lacking natural light and ventilation, which was typical of
the era.
Results
The entire apartment was reconfigured. The day area was moved to the end to connect with the
terrace, opening up the living-dining-kitchen space, thus creating a larger area with natural light
and ventilation. The hallway was shifted to one side, and a storage system was organized along
the perimeter to tidy up the entire space. The original doors of the apartment were restored,
along with a vintage safe that was integrated into the storage module of the hallway.
